Oh hey, I forgot to finish writing this blog post from this February elopement. Janet and Jerry booked me five days before their wedding. They planned it pretty quickly because they wanted to get married while Jerry’s parents were in Canada, so they had a small wedding with both of their immediate families.
As we waited for Janet to get back from the salon, Jerry asked me if I could do some video because he had never officially proposed to her and wanted to do it during their portrait session before the ceremony. I managed to grab a couple of photos as well, which you can see below. He pulled the ring box out of the bag, got down on one knee, and she was like, “Wait, what’s happening?” It was the cutest.
They married at her family’s church and then we headed out for some portraits on Mt. Tolmie and searched for a street with cherry blossoms. Afterwards, they had a tea ceremony at her parents’ house. Also, her mom gave me the best cookie ever, which I haven’t been able to find locally (these, if anyone wants to get me a present or just have an amazing cookie). But I digress. These two are so sweet together and I hope they’ve enjoyed their first five months of marriage.
