I love this engagement session so much. I think I’m going to have to book all of my sessions near sunset from now on. Of course, it didn’t hurt that Robyn and Steve are totally adorable and fun. Robyn wrote me one of those great first e-mails that made me really want to shoot their wedding, including the key elements of loving my work and telling me something interesting about themselves and their wedding (she’s a baker, he’s a triathlete, and they’re having their wedding at Merridale Cidery because they love the surroundings and amazing food).
I had so much fun spending a couple of hours with them and learning more about them and their wedding plans, even if they did test my fitness level hiking rocky ocean-side terrain not meant for people carrying an expensive camera with no strap. A cat followed us pretty much the whole way. Someone told me that’s a lucky sign for their marriage and I hope they’re right, not that these two need it.
