Torin contacted me about getting a portrait session done for his second anniversary with Robin. We decided that a mini session would be just perfect, so they could spend twenty minutes getting their photos taken and then head off to celebrate the day together. They were a little nervous at first, so I tried to save the looking-at-the-camera photos for the end. They ended up feeling, and looking, a lot more relaxed at the end of the session. We walked around a bit on the beach next to Clover Point and these guys were so much better at walking on rocks than I was. Luckily, me falling all over the place tends to make people laugh, which makes for good photos.
Mini sessions are perfect for people who don’t love have their picture taken, but want some great photos together. Even if you hate the experience, you can handle it for twenty minutes. Though even the most nervous couples tell me they had fun in the end. You’d be surprised at the variety of poses and backgrounds you can get in twenty minutes, all within the same general location.
