On the August long weekend, in the midst of a crazy wedding season, I got to photograph an amazing celebration of marriage and family. Paulette and Jim have been married for fifty years and their family got together for a party at a family home on the lake. They prepared a meal with flowers, herbs, and veggies from the garden, spent some time at the lake with the two dogs, and played some games. It was a ton of fun getting to hang out with this family for a few hours and observe all their different personalities and relationships, and a nice reminder of what weddings are all about.
