Merridale Cidery is one of my favourite wedding venues on Vancouver Island. It’s also super popular and I’ve photographed more weddings there than anywhere else.
Merridale is located in Cobble Hill, about 40 minutes north of Victoria, BC.

Marina and Travis’ October 2018 wedding
Marina and Travis had a fall Merridale Cidery wedding with kilts, an adorable no-look first look, awesome dancing, and sunset portraits.
Caitlin and Andrew’s September 2018 wedding
Caitlin and Andrew had a rainy day wedding with Scottish flair at Merridale Cider, but it didn’t dampen their spirits too much.
Alex and Evan’s July 2017 wedding
Fun Merridale Cider wedding from summer 2017. Featuring a Spice Girls dance, a huge homemade cake, and an epic veil.
Karly and Tristan’s July 2017 wedding
This was a super chill wedding, but also a lot of fun. The kids kept things lively late into the night. By ten, the adults were relaxing and eating fancy poutine while the kids continued to play on the dance floor.
Ashley and William’s May 2016 wedding
We started the day with a bit of girls prep at some cottages in Mill Bay and then they did a first look in the orchard at Merridale. After some fun photos with the wedding party, and sneaking Ashley down the hill past the guests, they had their ceremony in front of the waterfall where they exchanged sweet, personal vows. The reception was full of sentimental and funny toasts, lots of action on the dance floor, and smiles and hugs all around.
Alison and Philip’s 2015 intimate afternoon ceremony
An intimate wedding with only family in attendance, including her brother sharing officiant duty. Their ceremony was lovely and an eventful mix of religious traditions, including a simply sweet chuppah, which provided some nice shade on a super sunny day.
