Dianne wanted some last family photos before her oldest son left for university, and this session ended up doubling as a father’s day gift as well. This was my first family documentary session with parents and teenagers, but no younger kids. I was a bit nervous, wondering whether the boys would feel awkward and everyone wouldn’t know what to do. But it ended up being a ton of fun with everyone in a playful mood and interacting well together. It’s amazing how much personality comes out in only an hour.
They happened to be walking along the beach and I noticed someone wrote Happy Father’s Day in the sand. I swear this isn’t set up.
