Cassandra and Mike were married at Sea Cider in mid-September. This was my third wedding day in a row, but everyone else had so much energy, I was able to get my own energy back up to make it through the night. We started at Kazen Hair and Beauty downtown and then headed to the hotel to finish getting ready. The couple brought their cat with them and there were some adorable photos. We did some first look and portrait photos at Beacon Hill Park, then off to Sea Cider for a few more couple portraits and everyone helping decorate.
This was the first time I’ve photographed a ceremony in Sea Cider’s forest area and it was beautiful, though a bit challenging due to dappled light (can I install a giant sheet over the ceremony area?). Cass and Mike were very sweet and sometimes emotional during the ceremony, and there was definitely some crying going on in the front row. The reception was a riot from the wedding party dancing into the tent to hilarious speeches, including Cassandra’s dad announcing a trip for her mom in a game show style. The mood cooled down a bit with a sweet slideshow during the father-daughter dance, but immediately picked up with a crazy dance floor involving everyone from grandma to some very lively bridesmaids’ partners and Cass’s mom’s killer moves.
