Erin and Lorenzo were married in Nanaimo/Nanoose in September. They had a small family-only ceremony at her grandparents’ cabin on the ocean. There are so many huge cabins on the island, but this one was tiny and adorable. What do you need a giant cabin for when you have this gorgeous oceanfront? Lorenzo’s nieces and nephew were their only wedding party and did a good job of walking down the aisle, even if they got a little lost on the way. I love the hug and cheek kiss the couple shared at the end of the ceremony (along with the usual first kiss). There’s such clear authentic affection between these two.
Erin spent some time before the ceremony video chatting with her best friend and Lorenzo’s sister, who weren’t able to attend. It was a sweet way to still involve them in the day.
After some family photos, lunch, and some couple portraits at Beachcomber Park, we headed to the Nanaimo Hornets Rugby Club for a larger reception. There were lawn games, a killer buffet, sweet and hilarious speeches, and the cutest entrance first dance. They started the dance floor off with some Zumba instructed by a friend, which most of the guests really got into. The dance floor, and homemade photo booth, was still going strong when I headed out.
