Jessica and Edward got married in late July (in case you missed it, here’s their engagement session and some photos of them decorating their wedding cake). I haven’t blogged much lately because I’ve been working on getting people their photos in a timely manner instead, so now looking back on this wedding after months, I can see what I missed at the time: this wedding and the photos of it totally rock. More than usual. Excuse my lack of humbleness, but it’s true. I think a big part of it was that I had a chance to get to know the couple and some of their family and friends before the wedding, through watching them decorate their cake the day before and doing an engagement session. I got to know Jessica and Edward and learned how truly kind and wonderful they are. This day just confirmed that.
They had their ceremony at Beacon Hill Park where the guests were given engraved kazoos and taught to play the wedding march on them. We headed to a few different spots for portraits, where the small wedding party goofed around and the couple acted adorable and in love (ok, not so much “acted”). The reception was at the Union Club and even though they only had about 45 guests, the night was full of fun and liveliness. Thanks to an awesome DJ and a love for cheesy wedding songs, the dance floor was packed and crazy all night. One of my favourite parts was Edward picking up Jessica and swinging her around the room. Way to make the most of a size difference, guys.
