Karen and Chris were married at Fireside Grill in September. The day started out super relaxed with Karen getting ready with her maid of honour and family. This resulted in some of my fave bride and mother photos ever. How sweet are they?
We headed across the street to St. Ann’s to do a first look with Chris, then spent a little time taking portraits until everyone got too warm. I think I had asked Chris to whisper something loving to Karen and she started laughing because he whispered something about Hot Pockets. I’m not even going to ask.
The ceremony was sweet and funny, with lots of tears all around, and ended with a secret handshake after the exit. The couple was so busy socializing during cocktail hour, that they didn’t get any food until just before they were supposed to enter the reception. The MC called their names and they crammed the last bits food into their mouths before walking in with puffy cheeks. The reception continued with funny toasts, a table of homemade treats, a rousing round of The Shoe Game (with bonus hilarious heads on sticks), and lots of lively dancing.
