I was so excited to get to hang out with Ashley and Travis again for their Hindu wedding in Vancouver. We got to photograph the ceremony on Friday, along with getting ready and a bunch of events at Ashley’s parents’ house, and the reception on Saturday. It was pretty exhausting, but also a lot of fun. This was my first Indian wedding and it lived up to expectations. I loved all the bright colours and beautiful dresses, and the dance floor just couldn’t be beat.
One of the bridesmaids, Mary, was writing her toast on the ceremony morning. I found her in the perfect light in the garden.
Saturday started off relaxing with Ashley, the bridesmaids, and family getting ready at her parents’ house. Then we headed to Queen Elizabeth Park for some couple portraits. The view was rather amazing.
I think Ashley must have been a baseball player at some point, because she just threw that bouquet so hard. Her aunt, who was sitting at a table behind the girls, caught the bouquet. Ashley tossed it again and one of Travis’s groomsmen caught it and tossed it to a girl who was super excited about it.
